Cool Word: Apophenia

Apophenia (or patternicity) is the human tendency to perceive meaningful patterns within random data. A well known example is seeing faces, or objects in cloud formations. The term was coined by German neurologist and psychiatrist Klaus Conrad (1905-1961).
